Protected Classes

Federal and WA state fair housing laws prohibit discrimination based on "protected classes": persons who are members of or who are treated as members of one of the groups against whom discrimination is declared to be an unfair practice by law.

Marital Status

The legal status of being married, single, separated, divorced, or widowed.

Sexual Orientation

Includes heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, and gender expression or identity.

Military/Veteran

Honorably discharged veteran or military status
